The second RiverMint Dining pop up dinner is coming to Mt Hawthorne! Join us to celebrate the wintery Noongar season of Makuru.
Friday 28th July @ The Cooking Professor, Mt Hawthorn
A collection of tables seating six to ten guests each will be set within the cosy confines of The Cooking Professor surrounded by a clever illustrative art exhibition inspired by local children's book illustrator, Jodie Davidson.
Chefs will be preparing a combination of shared and individual dishes showcasing ingredients available during the Noongyar season of Makuru, the season of fertility and the first rains. The five-course menu utilises foods from the land and includes seasonal ingredients such as Broome Pearl meat, freshwater trout, Wallaby, Wild mushrooms, Geraldton Wax, Bunya nuts, Bush grapes, Native tubers, Bush tomatoes, Lemon Aspen and Illawarra plums as well as some beautiful local winter fruit and vegetables.
Tickets are limited to 40 places and include a Makuru inspired welcome drink with canapes on arrival. A matched cider, beer and wine list will be designed for the evening and drinks will be available for purchase on the night. The menu will be emailed to attendees 48 hours prior. We are privileged also to welcome VIP guest and Noongar elder Aunty Neta Knapp who will open the evening with a special Welcome to Country.
A unique interactive event exploring all that the Australian landscape has to offer.
** Those wishing to sit with other booked guests, please mention this when booking so that we can arrange seating accordingly.
